designated salsa macha the MVP of condiments in 2020, but the delicious sauce has since grown in ubiquity. The long-time taqueria staple is now a versatile pantry must-have.

Layered with flavors of tamarind, nuts, seeds, and two different kinds of chiles. Great as a marinade, on avocado toast, or drizzled in soup. Our salsa is made using chile guajillo for flavor and chile morita for spice. It is not spicy but has some warm heat from the chile morita.  Originating in the state of Vera Cruz. 

 

  • Low Spice
  • Ingredients: Olive oil, chiles, tamarind, garlic, almonds, pepitas, sesame seeds, vinegar, mexican oregano, salt
  • This salsa will last months. Refrigerate after opening to keep longer- this oil based salsa will coagulate when cold. I leave my salsa out on the counter because I use it so often. The olive oil should help to preserve the salsa. 
  • Handmade in small batches. Ships anywhere in the US. 7.75 oz.

We LOVE your oil-based salsas

"We LOVE your oil-based salsas like Guey, Macha, Muertos...you just can't find those in the US, not even in gourmet/unique grocery stores.

Also, the fact that you use olive oil instead of seed oils (sunflower, canola, etc) is HUGE! Most companies would go with cheaper ingredients to bring price down/improve margins.

Seed oils are so unhealthy compared to olive oil. THANK YOU for this! Also...thank you for not adding sugar to your salsas!

The best sauce eveeeeer!

This sauce has a very smooth Smokey flavor that got me addicted. I seriously eat everything with it. Try this sauce on a piece of steak. It’s going to be the best steak. I tried for the first time in California when I was visiting a friend, and I was so happy to know that you guys ship it here! Thank you guys for this fresh, homemade, unique sauce! I can’t wait to get my next jar!
